For years actor and author Brian Blessed had an impossible dream - to follow in the footsteps of his childhood hero, George Leigh Mallory, who disappeared near the summit of Mount Everest in 1924. Finally in 1990, aged 53, Brian recreated Mallory's journey dressed only in Twenties clothes, for the award-winning film Galahad of Everest.
Three years later Brian returned to Everest and reached 28,200 ft without oxygen a feat a man of his age has ever achieved. In 1996 he made a third attempt at the summit but had to turn back. In this wonderfully entertaining one man show Brian describes in vivid detail his record breaking ascents of Everest.
