In this special celebratory programme, former head of BBC Radio Light Entertainment, Jonathan James-Moore presents the full story behind the legendary shows, "Beyond Our Ken" and "Round the Horne".

For a decade from 1958, "Beyond Our Ken" and "Round the Horne" ruled the airwaves, with their zany humour, quick-fire scripts and eclectic ensemble of memorable characters. This release includes the first and last episodes from both ground breaking series, restored to their fullest versions, plus conversations with the last surviving cast members, Ron Moody and Bill Pertwee.

There are contributions too from Andy Merriman, the son of scriptwriter Eric Merriman, and Lyn Took, the widow of scriptwriter Barry Took. To add to the fun, David Benson, writer and performer of "The Private World of Kenneth Williams", joins Jonathan James-Moore in the guise of radio butler 'Benson', and presents some fascinating BBC memos charting the history and development of both series, as well as extracts from the diary of Kenneth Williams.
